Sean Hayes is a well-known American comedian, actor, musician and producer born on June 26, 1970 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He is an Emmy Award winner for the NBC sitcom Will & Grace for his performance as Jack McFarland. Hayes also has earned six Golden Globe nominations, four SAG Awards and one American Comedy Award. He is well known for his song powerful stuff.

Hayes was born to the director of a non-profit food bank, Mary and a lithographer, Ronald Hayes. He was brought up and raised as a Roman Catholic by his mother after his father left him and his siblings when he was at the age of five. Hayes attended Glenbard West High School and joined Illinois State University after the graduation. He learned the music of Mozart and studied piano performance in the university. Even though he had keen interest in studying, acting and learning music, Hayes had to leave the university before graduation. At the Pheasant Run Theater, Hayes used to serve as a classical pianist and a music director. In the meantime, he composed music for Steppenwolf Theatre Company situated in Chicago and had a tour for his music.

In the year 1995, Hayes moved to Los Angeles in order to establish his career. He started to work as a stand-up comedian and actor on television and stage. Talking about his beginning of his career, Hayes began his career in the year 1986 by appearing as extra the film Lucas which was filmed in his high school. In the year 1998, he made his professional debut by appearing in the independent film Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss. This film helped him a lot to establish him in this field and brought him wide attention. After this, he appeared in the NBC comedy series Will & Grace as a flamboyantly gay, Jack McFarland. His performance leads him to succeed seven consecutive Emmy Award nominations. He was able to earn his first award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
