Ashton Holmes is an American actor born on February 17, 1978 in Albany, New York, U.S. He is best known for his roles in A History of Violence, The pacific and Nikita. Holmes started taking his acting classes at very young age. He learned acting from The Albany Academy and did his intern program at the New York State Theater Institute.

Holmes did his movie debut by appearing in the Raising Hill in 2003, where he portrayed the role Zach Adler. The following year, he appeared in the short film A Million Miles to Shine where he was seen as Rice. Likewise, Holmes was cast in the movie A History of Violence and Peaceful Warrior as Jack Stall and Tommy respectively. In the year 2007, Holmes appeared in Wind Chill, Normal Adolescent Behavior and What We Do Is Secret. The following year, he appeared as James Weatherhold in Smart People. Recently, he appeared as Adrien in movie The Divide and Jacob in Pasadena.

Besides appearing in movies, Holmes can also be seen portraying various roles in TV series as well. His first TV appearance was in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in year 2003. After that in 2004, he appeared in three episodes of One Life to Live, where he appeared as Greg Johnson. The same year, he was also seen in the series Cold Case as Sean Morgan/Bobby Gordon. From 2011 to 2012, Holmes appeared in the ABC drama series Revenge, portraying Tyler Barrol. He appeared in total 11 episodes of Revenge.
