Candy Alt Crowley is popular among people as an American News anchor and as CNN's chief political correspondent, specializing in USA national and state elections.

She was born on December 26, 1948, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, States. But, later when she was six months old, her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri and then lived in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

She is also working as an anchor of the show "State of the Union with Candy Crowley" at CNN based in Washington.

She can also be called upon as CNN political correspondent specializing in U. S. Presidential, gubernatorial, and senate elections. Candy is a Jewish.

Crowley was enrolled at Horace Greeley High School, and later she attended Principia College in Elsah, Illinois for two years.

After that, she was transferred to Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She began her career working as a newsroom assistant at WASH-FM.

Later, she worked as Whitehouse correspondent for the Associated Press and also was an anchor for Mutual Broadcasting.

During the second presidential election debate between President Barack Obama and his Republican Opponent Mitt Romney, Crowley became the moderator. She was the second woman to moderate a presidential debate after Carole Simpson.

The Los Angeles Times stated her career as "sophisticated political observation, graceful writing, and determined fairness," and characterized her style as "no-nonsense" and "straight shooter.

Crowley has already done reporting from all 50 states as well from many countries of the world and has interviewed many high profile personalities including Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates, Timothy Geithner, Herman Cain, and Michele Bachmann.

In 1998 and 2003, Crowley received Dirksen Awards from the National Press Foundation. She also won the Emmy award for her work on CNN Presents Enemy Within, in 2003 and the following year, she won Gracie Allen Award for her war coverage.

Other awards received by Crowley include National Headliner and a Cine award, Edward R. Murrow Award, etc.

Crowley has good height but once she had put on a more weight and was called fat. But, now she had significant weight loss and credit her meditation with helping her lose weight.
