Jason William Gann, known as Jason Gann, is best known for his work in “Wilfred” which is an Australian comedy series. He is an Australian by nationality and was born in Brisbane. He is involved in the comedy from his early age. He has done the Bachelor in Arts in Acting from the University of Southern Queensland.

He has also studied music as well as theatre. He has also performed many times in theatre. He has also worked in Queensland Theatre Company for several years. He has also wrote and produced various short movies. In 2002, he came up with the idea of the famous “Wilfred”. He co-wrote as well as took the leading role in it. His acting was critically acclaimed and he got positive responses from the audience as well. All attentions went towards him. He also got Best Male Actor in Comedy as well as People’s Choice Award in 2002.

In 2003, he came up with the “Buried” which also helped him to grab the Best Male Actor again at Tropfest. He appeared officially in the television from “The Wedge”. He played various characters in it and also wrote its script himself. After the popularity of “The Wedge”, he planned to give the platform for his earlier creation “Wilfred”. So, he co-created and also became the writer of “Wilfred” which was broadcasted from Australian TV. This series became one of the successful series in the history of Australian TV. This series ended on 2010. He also co-created and was executive producer of “Mark Loves Sharon”. He had played the role of Mark Wary there. He became involve in different series in between 2008 to 2010. “Wilfred” TV series got worldwide popularity. He got an offer from US TV to on air his program. So, from 2011, he started to create and write the script of “Wilfred” for US TV. This program became famous in the US as well.

Despite of his popularity in TV, he is also involved in many movies as well. He first appeared in the movie in 2003 from “Ain’t Got No Jazz”. He got chance to work in different movies from 2003 to 2006. In 2007, he came up with the movie “Rats and Cats” in which he was also its writer. In theatre as well, his most prominent act was on “Allo Allo!” where he played the role of Herr Otto Flick. It was shown in 2007 at Twelfth Night Theatre. In case of awards, he is twice nominated for AFI Award for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Series.

Though he is not sexually a gay, there had been a rumor about that. Regarding his height, he is 5 feet 10 inch tall. He is a married person. He is married to Alejandra Varela, the then girlfriend, who is also a Spanish model in 2013. They have started dating and having an affair for a long period of time. In 2007, he was found guilty for the assault on bus driver. He was ordered to pay $325000 for penalty.
