Jason Lee Whitlock, also known as Jason Whitlock, is a former columnist in Kansas City Star, sportswriter in ESPN as well as host of the WHB and KCSP sports stations. He was born in April 27, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has also worked for AOL Sports and Foxsports.com.

He has done graduation on journalism in 1990. As he was very good football player, he has got the football scholarship in Ball State University. He started his career as the part time job in The Herald Times. In The Charlotte Observer, he started his first full time job. In 1992, he was accepted in Ann Arbor News and worked there for two years.

He also got chance to be the guest host for different ESPN TV shows such as “Jim Rome Is Burning” and “Pardon The Interruption.” He was also the regular host of “The Jim Rome Show” which is broadcasted from ESPN Radio. People can also see him in the program of ESPN, “The Sports Reporters Outside the Lines”. He departed from this company in 2006 as he favored AOL Sports. Due to his controversial comments on his colleagues and the bosses of ESPN, he became absent from the ESPN network for a while. He said in “The Kansas City Star” that he has been fired from ESPN. He also said that the company did not tolerate any criticism about them.

He started to write on MSN columns for Fox Sports from 2007. Because of his remarks on Asian stereotypes, The Asian American Journalists Associations demanded the apology from him. He later apologize to them and said that he really feel sorry for what he has written. After some time, in 2013, he again returned to ESPN. Because of his stardom, he has been published in many magazines such as Vibe, Playboy as well as The Sporting News. Greater Kansas City has also made him the celebrity spokesman for “Big Brothers Big Sisters”.

He is a tall guy with the height of 6 feet 2 inch. He has reached the age of 47 from 2014. But someone has most probably hurt him real bad as he questioned that why professional athletes get married.
