Jason Sehorn (birth name Jason Heath Sehorn) was on born April 15, 1971, in Sacramento, California. He is a former professional American football cornerback in the National Football League. He completed high school in Mount Shasta (CA) and college in Southern California. Sehorn played his first two years of college football at Shasta College where he was a standout wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner.

After he played for two years, at the University of Southern California where he was moved to the safety position due to an abundance of talent at the wide receiver position. Jason was married to former CNN correspondent, Whitney Casey from February 14, 1998, to their divorce in 1999.  Jason and Whitney Casey were college sweethearts at the University of Southern California. Now, he is marries Angie Harmon on June 9, 2001.

His marriage to Angie Harmon is well known due to his unusual and public proposal. They have three daughters. On October 14, 2003, at 10:55 a.m. he and his wife Angie Harmon welcomed their first child, a daughter, Finley Faith Sehorn in Dallas, Texas. Likewise, on June 22, 2005, Angie gave birth to Avery Grace and Emery Hope on December 18, 2008.

He played for the New York Giants and spent most of the time (1994-2002) playing the cornerback position. During this time, Sehorn received some notoriety for being the only white starting cornerback in the NFL. In 2003, he played for St. Louis Rams.

During the 2004 season, he did not play and his contract with the Rams was terminated after he failed a physical examination. He suffered a debilitating knee injury, tearing both his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments.

In 1998, he returned in 1998 preseason game against the New York Jets. Sehorn was signed by the Chicago Cubs after just one season of playing American Legion Baseball following his senior year of high school. Sehorn played the outfield but failed to produce as a hitter. Formally, in September 2005, he retired from the NFL after an injury plagued career and now he is an NFL analyst.

Sehorn played a firefighter on the NBC show, Third Watch, for one episode in which his character is killed in a warehouse blaze. , Sehorn’s high school jersey was retired by his alma mater, Mount Shasta High School, in a ceremony emceed by his longtime friend, mentor, and former coach, Joe Blevins on January 19, 1999.

The ceremony aired on local cable TV. Sehorn joined Fox Sports Net, where he was a panelist on their Sunday NFL pregame show in 2005. During the NFL offseason, he participated in ABC’s Superstars competition and won the competition in 1998, 1999, and 2000. His career stats included 19 interceptions, four for touchdowns, and 458 tackles.

His signature highlights play came in a 2000 divisional playoff game when he jumped a low pass from Donovan McNabb, diving in front of the receiver. The ball popped loose as Sehorn hit the ground but he continued to roll under it and batted the ball up to himself as he got up to his knee and raced into the end zone for a 26-yard touchdown to give the Giants a 17-0 lead
